.... SOMETHING NEW.... from the Lodge and our Environmental Centre Our Guided Tours are a very popular part of the good reason why guests choose Babanango Valley as the prefered destination :) - and the lastest addition to our Tour Options has proved to be just as successful as our existing outings! .... ZULULAND from the Inside looking out.... If you are looking for an informative and facinating look into the world of the Zulu in rural Zululand, with enthused and experienced guides, this may be just what you are after! Our trip starts from the Lodge and we proceed up the Valley to a Modern Zulu Homestead, visiting the home of a typical Zulu Family. (see more details under Tour Options) Sensitive and thoughtful interaction allows for the visit to become more of a sharing of cultures than an invasion into someones private life, and gentle interpration makes this facinating world come alive before your eyes... From here we move on to a different type of Zulu Homestead, known as the RDP Village, situated around the town of Babanango. But first we take a look around the facinating Village of Babanango including the tradional Chemist with his Zulu herbs and potions! And then on to the RDP itself, where the Government had a scheme whereby homes were build and given to the local folk at no cost at all, and this is an excellent example of how the opportunity was grasped and appreciated! A warm welcome awaits you as you step inside the door of this home - sharing a special moment in a personal space. After enjoying a cup of tea together, we trundle back down the Valley to the Lodge - with memories to treasure, eyes opened wide, another world discoved, from the inside looking out.... Tour duration: Departures from 9am to return to the Lodge for lunch at about 1pm
